Hydro Tutorial | Art of Clipping

Okay. After a few suggestions, here is a real quick tutorial I threw together. Clipping is a simple function in Illustrator but sometimes the fun things you can do with it are over looked. Here is something i played with recently and i enjoyed the results.

*it’s saved as a pdf, but open the file in Illustrator.

Oh and just a suggestion, you might want to outline your fonts and possibly even backsave down to an earlier version of Illustrator before you make your PDFs so there’re less issues opening the file to those of us that haven’t bit the bullet and upgraded to the yearly update from Adobe.

Going though your blogs, I feel like a kid who just woke up on Christmas morning. I, seriously, think you should write a book on illustrating/ photoshopping/ typography…basically everything you know.
