Constitution: “Just a goddamned piece of paper”

May 11, 2007

Here is something interesting that I found recently. (This is actually from ’05.. but when i found out, and my annoyance for our ‘elected’ leader has only deepen)

“GOP leaders told Bush that his hardcore push to renew the more onerous provisions of the act could further alienate conservatives still mad at the President from his botched attempt to nominate White House Counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court.

“I don’t give a goddamn,” Bush retorted. “I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.”

“Mr. President,” one aide in the meeting said. “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.”

“Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”

Another perspective (christian standpoint) >>> here

It’s pretty upsetting, for me being a american to have Bush, our ‘elected’ leader tell us that our very basis for being American is just a piece of paper. A God-Damned piece of paper at that.

Aaron Russo’s movie that is coming out. Has some great insight. Doesn’t seem to be coming from a Bias slant (via either party).

Anyway. It’s always good to do a little research. That is my weekly political rant 🙂

yeah, Bush is a tool. The whole ‘administration’ (‘regime’ is a more appropriate term) is a tool. Freedom to Fascism rocks. Have you ever heard of Alex Jones (infowars.com)? Alex has a very interesting radio news show in which he presents similar info to what’s presented in ‘America: Freedom to Facism’. There is a free podcast available daily at http://www.infowars.com. Alex is actually friends with Aaron Russo, the dude who made Freedom to Facism.
I’m glad you felt interested enough to post this. Peace.

The problem is, Bush didn’t actually say it. There is not a single shred of evidence he ever did, and it is foolish for anyone to believe it.
